For two decades, Byron served as a communications leader at the University of Michigan. From the College of Engineering’s director of communications and marketing to its deputy chief of staff, he established the leadership voice of a premier unit of the nation’s top public university. He has served as official speechwriter for four deans. He has produced countless leadership letters, emails and presentations to persuade and inspire. Along the way, Byron has been recruited for recurring stints as: emcee of high-profile alumni and faculty recognition events; welcoming speaker and new-staff introducer at monthly, University-wide development-community meetings; and announcer for the University’s annual student-athlete graduation ceremony. Byron was the voice of the University’s diversity e-training module for new development staff.

In his role as deputy chief of staff, Byron provided executive communications and strategic-planning leadership for the dean of the College. Additionally, he managed a team responsible for College-wide alumni engagement and events.

Byron graduated with a double major in economics and philosophy from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University.

He and “Miss Marnise”®, his wife, are partners in their family business, Roberts & Limbrick Enterprises, LLC, an educational-services and communications consulting company established in 1999.
